Growing so fast!

The boys had their second pediatrician appointment yesterday and will be 3 weeks old today!

Jack weighed in at 4lbs 14oz
Ben weighed in at 5lbs 4oz

They are going to be outgrowing their preemie sized clothes this week I think!

They are eating a lot, having some fussy times, and being cute.  Mike has been home from work and one of the grandmothers has been here every day, which has helped a lot...  A LOT!

Mommy and Jack at the pediatrician...Mommy and Daddy literally rolled out of bed and packed up the car to be on time for our 10am appointment.  We got there at the same time as another couple with a 2 month old and they looked just as bad as we did, so I felt better that I managed to put on real pants rather than PJs...

Newborn Twins Photo Shoot Trial

I looked into the cost of having newborn photos done professionally and it is quite pricey, so Mike and I decided we would try our own photo shoot.  Jack was quite fussy, as you can see from the pictures, but Ben was being quite cooperative.  Jack is on the right and Ben is on the left (Jack scratched his left cheek, which for now is an easy way to tell them apart...)

I want to try again when both are settled, sleepy, and more "pose-able."

We took about 200 pictures...here are some of our favorites.

This is the closest we got to one of both Jack and Ben with their eyes closed.

D'oh!

I love Mike's hands in this one...it shows how tiny they are.

Ben was getting hungry and thought Jack's arm looked tasty:)

First few days with our twins at home

Feeding time in the nursery.

A quick photo shoot of both boys together.  They are sleeping in separate cribs.

First trip to the pediatrician on Monday.  Both boys gained weight.  Jack is now 4lbs 6.5oz and Ben is 4lbs 8.5oz.

Any day now!

Our little Jack, who had the hardest time at the start, will probably be our first to come home.  There is an outside chance he will come home this afternoon, but most likely tomorrow.  He only gained 5 grams since he was weighed last, now at 1935g.  The boys will be circumcised today and can technically go home the day they are circumcised.  Often babies don't eat very well after the circumcision, so they might keep him one more night to make sure he gains.

Ben, who we thought would be the first home all along, has been having some trouble breathing.  He stopped breathing briefly overnight on Wednesday night and had several alarms (low heart rate/low oxygen saturation) yesterday.  He needs to go at  least 48 hours without any alarms to go home.

So, once again we wait and see....

Jack yesterday, his poor little cheek looks less red!
Notice his heart shaped (upside down) ear folds

Not a great angle, but his ear is different

Mommy finally got to shop for her babies!

More cute clothes from Mommy:)

We had a frog INSIDE our bedroom window last night.  He made his loud grey tree frog noise. Mike thought he was outside, I thought it sounded like it was inside.  To humor me, Mike checked behind the curtain, and sure enough, there was a frog in our bedroom.  The little guy is safely outside again!

A different frog outside last night, same kind that was in our bedroom
